A clean, comfortable coat without the need for a full haircut
Not every grooming visit needs to include clipping or styling. If your dog simply needs a thorough wash, professional drying and a good brush, our dog wash, dry and brush service in North Finchley, N12 is designed for exactly that.
At Paws Grooming Empire, we take care of the whole process from washing through to brushing, helping remove everyday dirt, loose fur and unwanted odours. It's an easy way to keep your dog's coat feeling fresh and manageable between full grooming appointments.
Whether your dog has picked up mud on a walk or simply needs some regular coat maintenance, we're here to help.

Short trips, or we come to you
Getting your dog to the salon does not have to be stressful. If you're travelling from Highgate or the surrounding N6 area, our convenient location makes drop-off straightforward. For dogs that are happier travelling with familiar items, a little preparation can also make the journey easier.
- Before your wash, dry and brush appointment:
- Bring a familiar blanket or towel that smells of home.
- Give your dog a light meal a couple of hours beforehand rather than immediately before travelling.
- Keep the journey calm and avoid unnecessary excitement before the appointment.
- Bring a favourite treat or toy to provide some familiar reassurance.
- Allow your dog a little time to settle before grooming begins.

How we handle nervous dogs
We take a patient approach with dogs that are unsure about grooming. That means allowing them time to settle, using calm handling throughout the wash and brush, and taking short breaks when they become uncomfortable or overwhelmed.
The drying stage can be unfamiliar for some dogs, so we introduce the process carefully and adjust our approach according to their temperament and coat.
If we notice a sore area, skin irritation, parasites or anything else that may need veterinary attention, we will stop where appropriate and recommend speaking with your vet before continuing.
